The Redesigning Learning Spaces Summit is a full day exploration of not only the physical redesign but best practices and pedagogical changes that need occur with the redesign. David Jakes, a recognized leader in educational design and technology, will keynote the Summit. The Summit also includes a guided tour of recently redesigned learning spaces, providing attendees the opportunity to see these learning spaces in full use. A panel discussion with administrators, teachers, and students allow attendees to hear the challenges and successes of redesigning learning spaces, as well provide an opportunity to ask questions.

Plan now to join us! The Illinois Association of School Administrators’ Annual Conference will begin Wednesday, September 25, 2019. Each year the annual conference draws more than 650 school administrators to Illinois’ capital city of Springfield. Attendees include school superintendents, assistant superintendents, state agency staff and college professors of educational administration. The annual conference is an excellent opportunity to establish new contacts, network with colleagues, and meet the IASA staff and board of directors. General sessions and breakout panels provide up-to-date information on topics that are relevant to Superintendents and other administrators. The exhibit hall, which is open one day, gives attendees access to more than 60 vendors, providing an excellent opportunity to get a quick look at the latest products and services available to Illinois school districts.

This year, the Association of Illinois School Library Educators (AISLE) and the Illinois Association of Teachers of English (IATE) are collaborating to bring you the 2019 Joint Conference in Springfield! The conference theme is “Together We Can,” and the joint conference will be held at the Wyndham Springfield City Centre in Springfield, IL, on October 10 - October 12, 2019.
