Schools across the world are turning to distance learning, many until summer. As a result, students will be challenged with an even longer season of summer slide. Students’ faucet of resources necessary for growing literacy skills may slow during these crucial months. Students from low-income families, ESL students, and special education students are most at risk. What can teachers and other school leaders do to support family literacy during this time apart? This Mackin webinar will explore ways educators, librarians, and leaders can continue to support families as they promote literacy at home.
