Deidra Purvis has a B.S. in Secondary Education in English, and has taught in grades 6-12 ELA classrooms, ranging from response to intervention instruction to honors classes. Deidra specializes in developing learning environments which engage diverse learners. With a strong belief that every student must have ample opportunities to see themselves in the books they are reading, Deidra has worked with schools across the country to provide teachers with classroom libraries that serve as windows and mirrors for all students in the classroom. Deidra is also a member of the Minnesota Council of Teachers of English and The Loft Literary Center.
