April 16, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A talk by Kelly Mendoza
Sr. Director, Education Programs, Common Sense Education

Campuses are closing and likely will remain closed for the rest of the school year. For many, our education system is unprepared to transition to distance learning. Educators are also looking for high-quality, free recommendations as they teach remotely, and parents are struggling with providing supplementary resources for their kids. Come learn about several free K–12 resources from Common Sense Education, specifically addressing our current need for distance learning teaching resources. You’ll learn about Common Sense’s top curations of recommended digital tools and ways to foster digital citizenship as your students collaborate and communicate online. You’ll also learn about Wide Open School, a new, free online resource to support families and educators who are transitioning to remote learning as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Common Sense Education helps educators find the best edtech tools, learn best practices for teaching with tech, and equip students with the skills they need to think critically and use technology responsibly to learn, create, and participate. Go to Common Sense Education for FREE resources including full reviews of digital tools, ready-made lesson plans, videos, webinars, and more.
