Please join CDW Education at their Emergency Connectivity Fund Overview for an update on the Emergency Connectivity Fund, including the latest program updates. They will provide a general program overview and information about the 3rd funding request window to help you plan for a successful funding request.
On May 10, 2021 final rules for the Emergency Connectivity Fund were released. The ECF is an additional $7.1 billion grant included in the American Rescue Plan Act. Directed by USAC the fund provides monies districts can apply for to purchase equipment and services for distribution to teachers and to students’ families for use outside the school. Equipment and connectivity would need to be used primarily for educational purposes.
The Emergency Connectivity Fund is intended to meet as yet unaddressed need for devices and connectivity, for students, school staff, and library patrons who would otherwise lack access to connected devices sufficient to engage in remote learning.
On March 23, 2022, the FCC announced a Third Funding Request Window. Between April 28 and May 13, funding may be requested for up to 12 months of eligible services and equipment received July 1, 2022 thru December 31,2023.
