Overview

Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems. Zoom Rooms is the original software-based conference room solution used around the world in board, conference, huddle, and training rooms, as well as executive offices and classrooms. Founded in 2011, Zoom helps businesses and organizations bring their teams together in a frictionless environment to get more done. Zoom is a publicly-traded company on Nasdaq (ticker: ZM) and headquartered in San Jose, California.

ROEs and ISCs can purchase a Zoom account through the Learning Technology Center (LTC). Zoom is also available to districts for purchase via the Carahsoft, CDW-G, Howard Technology Solutions, JourneyEd, and SHI full catalog contracts. EACH ACCOUNT INCLUDES

  • An Education User Account. Bring HD video and audio to your meetings with support for up to 100 participants on screen.
  • Full Video Conferencing. Bring HD video and audio to your meetings with support for up to 1000 video participants and 49 videos on screen.
  • Content Screen Sharing. Multiple participants can share their screens simultaneously and co-annotate for a more interactive meeting.
  • Recording and transcripts. Record your meetings locally or to the cloud with searchable transcripts. Each user receives 1⁄2 GB of cloud recording.
  • Streamlined Calendaring. Support scheduling or starting meetings from Outlook, Gmail, or iCal.
  • Support. The LTC and ENA, our vendor partner, will provide ongoing support.
  • Account Management. The LTC will manage the administrator console and add/remove accounts upon request.

COST

The cost of each license is $70 per year. ROEs/ISCs will be charged annually at the beginning of the fiscal year. ROEs/ISCs that join during the school year will receive an invoice that is prorated by the month that the licenses were purchased.

The low cost is achieved by adding accounts to the existing LTC master account. All virtual meetings will have a “ltcillinois.zoom.us” preface to the website address for virtual meetings.
