CDW-G & Hayes Software Systems Success with Neosho School District

Last year, schools all over the nation found themselves adjusting to a new remote learning environment, with very little time to adapt. 2020 saw many districts expanding or creating 1:1 programs with difficult circumstances, various limitations, and minimal preparation.

Hayes Software Systems and CDW-G have been amazed by stories from school districts over this past year, such as Neosho School District’s in Missouri.

Neosho School District (MO)

Neosho School District implemented a 1:1 system for their middle school and high school students.  The school district faced difficulty at the beginning of the pandemic because their K-6 students did not take devices home.

When schools began closing in 2020, Neosho was getting back from spring break, meaning that the technology department lost out on a week of preparation. When the staff came back, they put their heads together to create a solution as to how they would get these devices into students’ hands.

The team created two device checkout locations staffed by ten people. Neosho School Technician Brady Daugherty credits the TIPWeb-IT 10.5 update as a “lifesaver” when moving devices from buildings to students. Neosho used Hayes’ asset management software to quickly check out devices to students to ensure they could continue learning at home.

Hayes is Here to Help Schools Enable Education Beyond the Classroom

With uncertainty still lingering and devices always moving, districts are adopting best practices to mitigate loss and ensure student safety. The global pandemic presented some unique challenges, but schools everywhere have proven their ability to adapt to difficult circumstances.

As a result, districts have learned how to manage assets better, improve processes, and prepare for the future with inventory systems like TIPWeb-IT

Hayes is focused on supporting students and staff in a new and continuously changing learning environment. In partnership with CDW-G, the company’s goal is to make sure districts have the tools they need for take-home, collection, device planning, and remote access to be possible; all while saving time, money, and resources.

Flora CUSD 35 Full Lab Refresh with CDW-G

Hear From An EdTech Peer

Heather Durre
Technology Coordinator
Flora CUSD 35

By utilizing ILTPP’s competitive contract with CDW-G, Mrs. Heather Durre accessed exclusive pricing on her lab refresh at Flora CUSD 35. Continue reading below to learn about her experience and the impact it has already made within her school district!

Flora CUSD 35 has a five-year computer refresh cycle. We are on target to replace all elementary teacher workstations, swap ceiling mount projectors for interactive displays and expand our Chromebook fleet in preparation for the next school year. Our teachers’ workstations are ready for an upgrade… after five years of heavy use… a replacement was necessary. We wanted to replace these devices with another All-in-One unit. CDW-G has the best “ account” to allow you to look, compare and review what items match your needs. Once you have your options, your Account Manager is key in leading you to the device that meets all of the criteria for your specific application.

Which interactive display do we purchase?

We reached out to CDW-G who provided demos of two different displays, professional development and allowed us to place the interactive displays in classrooms for several weeks. The teacher and student feedback solidified our decision and direction of purchase. Without CDW-G’s demo option, I am not confident we would have made the move to interactive displays this year.

With the purchase of additional Chromebooks to our elementary and junior high schools, the question always arises… Which carts do we purchase? CDW-G has the best option for carts and cabinets to store our mobile devices. With the ILTPP pricing, we are able to acquire fantastic carts, great pricing, and free shipping!

On all levels, CDW-G guides us to the correct devices, which meets our needs while staying within our budget.

Why CDW-G?

Flora CUSD 35 has a long-standing relationship with CDW-G — with the most recent playing an instrumental part in our 1:1 Chromebook initiative last school year. Our Account Manager, Meghan, is outstanding in understanding our technology goals and provides a variety of options to assist us in equipping our classrooms for the 21st-Century learner. She is eager to keep us “in the loop” of the latest devices, products, and equipment for our schools.

In my role as technology coordinator, it is my mission to provide the latest and greatest in technology to our students and teachers while being fiscally responsible. I do explore other avenues for technology but I always come back to the partner with the best products, customer service, and a support team that is unmatched…CDW-G!

The impact:

  • Our teachers will have new Windows 10 -All in One computers
  • Students will have interactive displays in their classrooms with the ability to cast, collaborate and interact with the newest technology.
  • The latest Chromebooks in all 2nd-8th-grade classrooms via cart-based model; creating a 1:1 Google environment for 2nd-12th grade students.
